Single-axis positioner without tailstock WB1LC: welding positioner for robotic welding cells

Single-axis positioner without tailstock WB1LC is a 1-axis welding positioner with a capacity of 150–500 kg depending on version. It holds and turns the workpiece so the robot welds in the flat position.

The positioner uses a rigid frame, a servo-driven rotation axis and an RV-type gearbox for smooth backlash-free motion. The design supports welding fixtures and is suitable for integration into CRP robotic welding cells.

One rotation axis suits cylindrical and symmetrical parts: pipe spools, flanges, wheels, shafts, drums and pressure vessel shells. The robot welds a stationary seam while the part turns underneath it. It provides accurate rotation and stable fixation of the part for consistent weld quality.

Capacity figures include the fixture. Check the swing envelope at full rotation as well as the footprint: the part sweeps a larger circle than it occupies at rest.
