Laser Welding & Cutting Robots

6 robots for laser welding and cutting, 5 to 20 kg payload and 906 to 2015 mm reach: jointed arms and collaborative models with the -J suffix. Laser needs accuracy rather than force: the seam is narrow and heat input is low — but the fit-up tolerance is tighter than MIG forgives.

Not sure which model fits?

Send the part weight, the reach you need and the cycle. We will name the model — and say plainly if a robot is not the right answer for it.

Laser welding and cutting robots join and cut sheet metal with a fibre laser. 6 models, 5 to 20 kg payload, reach 906 to 2015 mm — collaborative -J versions for hand-guided work and industrial arms for fenced cells.

Laser welding gives a narrow seam and low heat input.

Payload covers the laser head, cable and any seam-tracking sensor, not the workpiece. Fit-up tolerance matters more than with arc welding: the laser spot is small, so gaps that MIG would bridge will simply be cut through.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the advantages of laser welding?
A narrow seam and low heat input. The trade-off is fit-up: laser welding needs tighter gaps than arc welding.
The range covers 5 to 20 kg payload and 906 to 2015 mm reach: jointed arms and collaborative -J models.
What fit-up tolerance does laser welding need?
Tighter than arc welding, and this is the point most often underestimated. The laser spot is small, so gaps that MIG would bridge will simply be cut through.
If your parts come from a press with variable fit-up, budget for better fixturing or use arc welding instead.
What payload should I allow?
The payload covers the laser head, cable and any seam-tracking sensor — not the workpiece. 6 models cover 5 to 20 kg payload and 906 to 2015 mm reach.
Collaborative or industrial version?
The three collaborative models (-J) and the three industrial arms do the same laser work; the difference is the cell around them. Collaborative models can be hand-guided — a property of the whole RC series: the operator leads the head along the seam and the robot records the path. Industrial arms run programmed production in a fenced cell. Laser safety requirements apply in both cases and shape the enclosure.
What warranty and support do you provide?
Two years warranty on the robot, worldwide, export included.
Technical support is online: our engineers consult on setup, programming questions and fault-finding by video call. Spare parts are shipped directly from the factory.
CRP production is certified to ISO 9001, and the factory reports its products are certified to an MTBF above 100,000 hours.
