Laser welding and cutting robot RA15-12-J is an industrial laser welding and cutting robot: 6 axes, 12 kg payload, 1554 mm reach, ±0.05 mm repeatability. It is built for laser welding and laser cutting and other repetitive work where cycle time and consistency decide the cost per part.
Size it by the two constraints that cannot be worked around: the mass at the wrist — part, gripper, cabling and any sensor together — and the furthest point the tool must reach at full extension. Everything else follows from those.
The payload covers the laser head, cable and any seam-tracking sensor, not the workpiece. Fit-up tolerance matters more than with arc welding: the spot is small, so gaps that MIG would bridge get cut through instead.
