Collaborative Robots

6 robots of the RC collaborative series, 5 to 10 kg payload and 906 to 1801 mm reach. Three of them — RC09-05-W, RC13-10-W and RC18-05-W — are collaborative welding robots. Any robot in the series can be hand-guided: the operator leads the torch along the seam and the robot records the path, instead of programming coordinates — which is why they suit one-off work and frequent changeovers. Collision detection stops the arm to protect the robot and the equipment around it; an emergency-stop board independent of the control system and a dual-circuit safety relay handle the stop itself. Working without a fence is not a property of the model — it depends on a risk assessment of the specific cell. Against a fenced six-axis robot they lose on cycle time.

Not sure which model fits?

Send the part weight, the reach you need and the cycle. We will name the model — and say plainly if a robot is not the right answer for it.

Collaborative robots designed to work alongside people without safety fencing, subject to a risk assessment of the complete cell. 6 models — general-purpose arms and welding (-W) versions — from 5 to 10 kg payload, reach 906 to 1801 mm.

Any robot in the series can be hand-guided: the operator leads the torch along the seam and the robot records the path, instead of programming coordinates. The -W suffix marks the welding version, -J the laser version.

Cobots suit short runs and frequent changeovers, where hand-guiding a new path is quicker than writing a program in coordinates. For continuous production of one part all shift, compare against a fenced industrial arm.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can a cobot really work without safety fencing?
Only subject to a risk assessment of the complete cell — the robot, the tool, the part and the surrounding workplace. The robot being collaborative is not by itself sufficient; a sharp tool or a heavy part can make fencing necessary again.
We will tell you honestly when your application needs a guarded cell instead.
When is a cobot the right choice, and when is it not?
Cobots suit short runs and frequent changeovers. Every robot in the RC series can be hand-guided: the operator leads the torch along the seam and the robot records the path, so a new part does not need a program written in coordinates.
For continuous production of one part all shift, compare against a fenced industrial arm: tell us the run length and the cycle you need and we will say which fits.
What can the welding versions do?
Every robot in the RC series can be hand-guided: the operator leads the torch along the seam by hand and the robot records the path, instead of programming coordinates. That suits one-off and small-batch fabrication where writing a programme would take longer than the job.
The suffix says what the robot is equipped for, not how it is taught: -W is the welding version, -J the laser version.
What sizes are available?
6 models — general-purpose arms and welding (-W) versions — from 5 to 10 kg payload and 906 to 1801 mm reach.
The RC18-05 has the longest reach in the series: 1801 mm at 5 kg payload.
Which collaborative welding robot should I choose?
By the reach to the farthest seam and the weight of the torch package. RC09-05-W — 5 kg payload, 906 mm reach; RC13-10-W — 10 kg, 1320 mm; RC18-05-W — 5 kg, 1801 mm. All three can be hand-guided along the seam, and collision detection protects the robot and the equipment around it. Working without a fence depends on a risk assessment of the specific cell.
What warranty and support do you provide?
Two years warranty on the robot, worldwide, export included.
Technical support is online: our engineers consult on setup, programming questions and fault-finding by video call. Spare parts are shipped directly from the factory.
CRP production is certified to ISO 9001, and the factory reports its products are certified to an MTBF above 100,000 hours.
