Single-Axis Welding Positioners

Single-axis welding positioners rotate the workpiece about one axis. Sixteen models from 150 kg to 3 tonnes, including versions with a movable tailstock, idle tailstock, roller supports, through-hole spindle and a linear track for moving the robot itself.

One rotation axis is enough for anything cylindrical or symmetrical: pipe spools, flanges, wheels, shafts, drums and pressure vessel shells. The robot welds a stationary seam while the part turns underneath it.

The WB1KH and WB1KHT variants add a movable tailstock for parts of varying length; the WB1LG series uses roller supports for large-diameter thin-wall vessels that would deform on a chuck. The WD linear track carries the robot along the workpiece rather than turning it — the choice when a part is too long or heavy to rotate.
