Collaborative laser welding robot RC09-05-J is an industrial laser welding and cutting robot: 6 axes, 5 kg payload, 906 mm reach, ±0.02 mm repeatability. It is built for laser welding and other repetitive work where cycle time and consistency decide the cost per part.
Size it by the two constraints that cannot be worked around: the mass at the wrist — part, gripper, cabling and any sensor together — and the furthest point the tool must reach at full extension. Everything else follows from those.
The payload covers the laser head, cable and any seam-tracking sensor, not the workpiece. Fit-up tolerance matters more than with arc welding: the spot is small, so gaps that MIG would bridge get cut through instead.
