Two-axis positioner with adjustable distance between headstock and tailstock WB2CH is a 2-axis welding positioner with a capacity of 500–2000 kg depending on version. It holds and turns the workpiece so the robot welds in the flat position.
The positioner uses two servo-driven axes with RV-type gearboxes for smooth backlash-free motion. The rigid industrial frame supports welding fixtures, holds the workpiece securely and simplifies integration with robots and external welding equipment.
Rotation plus tilt brings seams on several planes into the flat position — welded frames, brackets, gearbox housings and machine bases. Without tilt the robot must reach over the part at an angle that degrades both the weld and the reachable envelope. It is used in CRP robotic welding systems for stable weld quality and repeatable positioning.
Capacity figures include the fixture. Check the swing envelope at full rotation as well as the footprint: the part sweeps a larger circle than it occupies at rest.
